5th GEF Assembly[T]he Fifth Assembly of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) was hosted by the Government of Mexico in Cancun during the last week of May, 2014. GEF Assemblies are held every four years, and are attended by representatives of all 183 GEF member countries. STAP RetreatThe STAP Secretariat and Panel gathered in Stockholm between January 22nd and 26th, 2014 for an exciting and highly productive bi-annual retreat. The meetings were held at the headquarters of the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), where STAP Panel member, Jakob Granit, is the Director. As a well known institution whose goal it is to bridge science and policy, SEI was the perfect place to host the GEF STAP.
