STAP guidelines for screening GEF projects

STAP guidelines for screening GEF projects

STAP’s screening guidelines, and screening template, have been revised, to bring them into line with the GEF’s new Project Identification Form (PIF).

The revised guidelines comprise 12 questions, which relate directly to what is asked for by the new PIF, and explain what STAP looks for when it screens GEF projects.

The new screening template has four parts: a summary of STAP’s view of the project of a whole; a section on whether the project rationale and description are sound; suggestions to be addressed during the project design to help strengthen the project; and a rating concur/minor/major – under review. Completed screens are expected to be no more than two or three pages.”
